As
the lights black out on Ned's Office, there's a sudden
spotlight on Octavia at the Zero Club. She wears a
glittering blue evening gown and a red-white-and-blue
Uncle Sam top hat. Tonight is the dress rehearsal
for the big rally and the Zeros are practicing their
Medley of Mass Destruction. Octavia, as Uncle Sam,
begins the introductions:
The
bomb! Oh the bomb!
Others may speak of her powers.
But I was the first to know her!
When she was mine alone, lord how I boasted.
I swaggered as I passed each jealous suitor
And his brother.
And how I rue the day I learned the naked truth:
That hussy went and gave her secret powers to another!
And
oh, how I had tried to protect those secrets!
I’d hoarded them and vowed to never share ‘em
So when she revealed her promiscuity I finally said.
"Alright! Give yourself to just anyone you slut!"
I’ll show you! I’ll start my very own
bombshell harem!
And I did!
And
now I live in nuclear polygamy!
Proliferating right and left as fast as I can go.
But let me introduce you to my nuclear family.
Ahem! Attention! On with the show!
Abruptly,
the spotlight shifts to reveal three scantily clad
Zeros with excessive amounts of makeup and wearing
extremely dangerous-looking stilletto heels.

The
scene shifts to Molly, Ned & Pete outside the
Zero Club. Ned is disguised as an English diplomat.
When they enter the club, Octavia greets them and
Molly introduces Ned as Mr. Jones. Octavia immediately
suspects who he really is and why he's come to the
club. She turns the full force of her charm on him.
For his part, Ned can barely take his eyes off Octavia.
"You
seem like a man who loves power," Octavia purrs.
"Oh,
yes!" Ned drools.
"Well
then, I think you'll appreciate this next number.
Take it away, Zeros!"
MUSIC
CUE: "15b through f: (titles as below)
And
in comes a bluesy, low-down-looking character with
sunglasses and a harmonica. He begins the "Medley
of Mass Destruction"

gal with a hat like Carman Miranda's, but instead
of fruit, it's filled with multicolored bombshells.
She sings ....

him up onto the stage. Once in the spotlight, Ned falls
completely under Octavia's spell and they dance and
