PURCHASING HARPS | |
The best advice I can give on purchasing harps is to EDUCATE YOURSELF. This is something no one else can do for you. Before purchasing any new piece of equipment, I try to RENT various different kinds for at least 6 months in advance. I suggest that first-time harp buyers play AS MANY HARPS as they can and try to rent a series of harps in succession, even if those particular harps are not for sale. |
|
HARP RENTAL | |
Lyon & Healy has a rent-to-buy program for its folk harps. Several other harp dealers may also have rental programs. Try contacting: - Melody Music (Retail Store/Catalogue):
www.neosoft.com/~melody READ! READ! READ! I would also suggest subscribing to several harp publications (see above under "Worldwide Harp Publications") and chatting with others through the Harp Page: www.tns.lcs.mit.edu/harp/ |
