Harpists join Hip Harp Academy for different reasons – and once they do, many don’t leave.  Find out why in these conversations with HIp Harp Academy members.

Meet Carol Booth

Carol is an Australian harpist who’s been in the Academy for 3 years.

After participating in the ‘Transformational Practices’ class, Carol experienced a significant boost in confidence. She discovered that through the supportive environment of the Academy, where members share their attempts and progress, she began to embrace her identity as a musician.

That opened up the idea of performing publicly with her harp, feeling she was finally grasping the essence of what it means to be a true musician.

Not only did Bonnie play that wedding, she created special music for it together with the Bride – music that included improvisation.  This was Bonnie’s first wedding as a harpist … but not her last!
