16:30:33 From Anne Horton to Everyone:
    Good on you for persevering!
16:32:37 From Anne Horton to Everyone:
I am going to love it! Have to turn my camera off for a little while 😉
16:45:28 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
    Hello Deborah and Everyone
17:11:14 From Kimberly to Everyone:
Having the options from a single note in the bass to the chord progression is helpful when you are starting to learn it. I love how you can jazz it up with just a change in the rhythm
17:11:31 From Carol Henley to Everyone:
analyzing the tune is so helpful — rather than just playing notes on a page
17:11:35 From cherie Mafey to Everyone:
Easier using the G for the bass when doing expanded RH. Really like the 6ths in the melody, and 3rds.
17:11:37 From Cherrie Mooney to Everyone:
Some chords didn’t seem like they would sound good, but they did.
17:11:40 From Joke Verdoold to Everyone:
It made it easy, realising the shapes, not thinking about notes.
17:11:40 From Anne Horton to Everyone:
Strangely I found it easy at first and then it got more and more difficult … I think it’s because I was trying to do what you were doing … I should know better
17:11:49 From Jilly to Everyone:
ok with right hand cant get left to fit in time
17:11:59 From Sabine Diederichs to Everyone:
I just played the right hand. So I could follow
17:12:15 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
Yes the feeling changed when you changed the rhyth
17:12:33 From Cathy Hornby to Everyone:
Lovely tune to play simply then build. I liked taking the descending bass right down to the F
17:13:55 From Vimukti to Everyone:
Analyzing and having the shapes in my right hand helped me to trust I could move away and improv and play with different shapes for both hands. I now have a Xmas melody.
17:17:18 From connieloporto to Everyone:
    Congratulations!!!!
17:18:18 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
.I thought I was playing the progression but maybe not, the notes sounded different.
17:18:40 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
    Soooo beautiful.
17:29:31 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
    Fun. DEfinitely
17:29:45 From connieloporto to Everyone:
5th and 6th ing out the melody
17:29:48 From Carol Henley to Everyone:
Yes! my discovery — when lost, just play part of a scale on this tune, and it works!
17:29:48 From Lawrence to Everyone:
So many great ways to harmonize a tune besides the traditional way.
17:30:00 From Sally to Everyone:
Use of pedal tone, experiment with shapes, improvise on a simple chord progression (like 1,6,2,5)
17:30:17 From Kimberly to Everyone:
Always fun—so joyful! Love being able to go the I, vi, ii, V progression in so many songs when you need something to use in the left.
17:30:18 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
Definitely apply to other Christmas tunes. Yes very helpful to listen and play along.
17:30:35 From Cherrie Mooney to Everyone:
    Learned a fun arpeggio ending
17:30:48 From Cathy Hornby to Everyone:
Definitely fun. And I’d not have thought to play a drone note under the tune - I’ll be trying that elsewhere and also the shape playing with the thumb on the melody
17:30:57 From Jilly to Everyone:
I've enjoyed trying to work out for myself after you give us sooo many ideas😌
17:31:54 From cherie Mafey to Everyone:
Using the dominant in the bass to simplify , use rhythm in the melody, using 6ths and shapes.
17:32:29 From Joke Verdoold to Everyone:
It’s a revelation that I was almost able to play the melody line without inventing ‘wrong’ notes and combine it with the bas. Couldn’t do that last year.
17:32:41 From Anne Horton to Everyone:
I didn’t know that arpeggio ending was a “thing” with an actual name “Horn 5ths” - AWESOME! I hope to remember to use that in the future (even easier on the Double-Strung”! ;) )
17:32:50 From Nancy Cochran to Everyone:
From working with you I was doing some of these things.
17:33:54 From Anne Horton to Everyone:
=> JOKE DOESN’T CARE ANY MORE!
17:34:18 From Anne Horton to Everyone:
I WANT TO BE LIKE JOKE!!

What are the principles and concepts in this session? If you had to remember what you learned, or someone said, "Quick! I have to do an improv! What did you learn in this 'Harp Time Live!' session that I can use??" - What would you tell them?
