16:32:08          From Teddy : I love the vision music one!

16:32:22          From Harpie 2 : Baroc flamenco

16:32:35          From heatherflinn : Can you remind us what the seminars were

16:32:51          From debra Sawyer : I haven’t done all of them yet – and will.

16:32:57          From heatherflinn : I mean the list of the five or so seminars

16:33:24          From janeilmola : I haven’t gotten around to seeing the blues lesson yet, will have to do that

16:33:40          From Lynne Lapidus : oh, my internet connection is AWFUL! I’m hearing a syllable here and there – no sentences. POOH! I may try a different device….

16:33:47          From Stacie Link : I think vision music is appealing to most, easiest to learn.

16:33:57          From Betty Herloski : I’ve been working a lot with Baroque Flaminco

16:34:20          From Harpie 2 : Flamenco because, I love the song. I also love the vision music. It helps with creating new improvisations

16:34:25          From Susanne : I like the vision music best.

16:38:58          From Tara : => PENTATONIC DCA GFD

16:55:46          From Tara : => STRIDE LH low D + FAC(E); RH pentatonic noodle.

16:58:01          From Tara : => ALTERNATE CHORD LH low A + GBE: back to D + FAE

17:07:46          From Beverly Inman-Ebel : Thanks Tara. Seeing it written helps me to feel the shapes.

17:09:49          From debra Sawyer : I like with A, stride to BCE

17:22:01          From Lynne : fun that I could Bossa with you!,,,,

17:22:04          From Cherrie Mooney : fun to try new things

17:22:05          From Melinda Ostrander-Aviles : Just loved it…..Satie!

17:22:29          From Stacie Link : it wasn’t boring but sometimes I would lose the beat and feell like I was

17:22:35          From Nancy C : Not boring – peaceful, beautiful, meditative — fun. Watched what you did, listened.

17:22:39          From Teddy : Getting the pattern was hard at first, then got better.  Liked that the chords opened up the scales as we went on.

17:22:40          From Stacie Link : in a Steve martin skit

17:22:41          From Anna Bosanquet : loved the left hand Satie pattern too, could play just the left hand for hours

17:22:53          From Jessica Pittaway : NOT boring:):):) so freeing…need to remember to cruze and hold at simple interludes after a big burst of excitement

17:22:55          From Vera Stern : loved this , but I get lost in the bars count as I count to keep the rhythm.

17:22:58          From Joke Verdoold : Fun was the ongoing stride, frustrate that I regularly lost the ritme. Good there was you. I missed a kind of building to a high point.

17:23:03          From Laurie Grant : Challenging to do right hand metronome and coordinate with LH rhythm…… had to really simplify RH – couldn’t really do scales – just lost it – then had to do 2 or 3 notes only

17:23:19          From kirsti Kaldro : No it was not boring!!! I was surprised when I looked up to see the time.  Sometimes I could not feel your groove.  I was playing a groove, but not sure if I was in sync, but was making good headway toward the stride technique.  Didn’t yet get to playing melody – just a little bit.  Really still working on getting the groove between  bass and comp.

17:23:53          From Nancy C : Do you play entirelyby shapes?

17:25:08          From Anna Bosanquet : What shapes did you use for melody today?

17:25:17          From Tara : Two hands are still tough to coordinate, even if I’m not looking or caring much what my right hand does.  The left hand can do the stride motion sort of and the right hand plays a melody sort of.  It’s okay, but I’m glad I don’t feel I’m being listened to.

17:25:18          From Kathy DeAngelo : In my past life, I played rhythm guitar in a swing band so I found that my right hand is more comfortable vamping on chord inversions while the left hand was doing the stride.

17:25:34          From Harpie 2 : It was not boring. It was fun to play along, getting new ideas from you. Sometimes I didn’t know what you played, it bit frustating, or when I couldn’t copy a nice rythm.  Thx, Tara for writing in the notes. It helps.

17:25:42          From Evelyn G : if i could do chords and melody at the same time it would be even more interesting but  that takes more practice.  I was confused that you were using notes in the chords that werent in the pentatonic

17:25:45          From Melinda Ostrander-Aviles : I was in the mood for this today after listening to a lot of John Barry (Out of Africa/Somewhere in Time) Soundtracks.

17:29:19          From Stacie Link : the rhythm was my downfall, I was slapping my chest

17:29:25          From Tara : I still find it tough to keep count of the bars, so this was good to try and count out loud.

17:33:35          From Teddy : playing the gesture is great when it’s all you can do

17:33:48          From Nancy C : Sundays I play Violin parts with harp, muted, with the virtual NYLSO Ensemblers – can use all these techniques when hands can’t violin notes.

17:34:11          From Anna Bosanquet : when you used shapes ascending in the R hand – you did not keep to pentatonic scale? Just repeated the same pattern from each note, using all?

17:34:14          From Anne Horton : I could only keep up with your  tempo when I eliminated something .. but when we finished I found if I slowed the tempo down I could fit it all together! Interesting.  Normally I learn things slowly (all together) and gradually speed it up – but this approach makes it seem much easier when I slow down the tempo – interesting.  It’s a different approach that requires me to be very relaxed and not let myself get frustrated with the faster tempo 😉

17:35:17          From Anne Horton : Great idea – to ALTERNATE left and right hands to begin with – yay!

17:36:50          From Lynne : which blueprint will you use Sunday?

17:38:04          From Nancy C : This is how too read violiniscores- eliminate!

17:38:28          From Joke Verdoold : I’m sorry, I’m falling over. Have to sleep. Bye

17:38:54          From Laurie Grant : Blues is my favorite

17:38:58          From kirsti Kaldro : Five part form

17:39:06          From Laurie Grant : Whatever YOU want
