5ths in nataliana
16:20:33 From dawn gillette to Everyone:
aha . . . changing a lever w/o buzzing
16:20:34 From kimberly woods to Everyone:
Ground in one key, then create a bit of a distraction while moving to the next key, then ground there
16:20:37 From Laurie Meister to Everyone:
Realizing you can do something verysimple & repetitive while doing “harp logistics…” levers/pedals
16:20:56 From Tana Snowden to Everyone:
This is great for continuous playing!!!
I need to tune my harp differently so I can do the “B” thing
16:21:00 From Sally Walstrum to Everyone:
Formula for me – Play a diversion, change levers (or pedal), play small scale to get to 1 of the new key.
16:21:11 From Kate Richards to Everyone:
We’re getting the feel for the mechanics of keys and what happens when you change keys.
16:21:18 From Steph E to Everyone:
Although I am playing pedal harp, I was touching the turning pegs as if I was playing lever harp so that I could get the feel of moving levers. (my aha was the acting as if I had levers.)
16:21:32 From Cherrie Mooney to Everyone:
If you play the notes with musicality while changing the levers, it didn’t matter what notes you played. It sounded fine.
16:21:59 From Angela Evans to Everyone:
This is amazing ! This is what I was asking about yesterday DHC as in are there ‘doing’ videos. Exactly what I learn from. Is there lots of this concept learning in the academy ?
16:23:00 From joyce douglas to Everyone:
if you create a diversion that requires 2 levers should you play a different set of keys
16:23:57 From joyce douglas to Everyone:
like going from c to Bb
16:25:31 From Tammy Halun to Everyone:
Replay page for Structure is Freedom Kickstart Classes https://www.hipharp.com/academy/kickstart-week-2024-q4-replays/

Don’t let all the dots on the page drag you down—just think of arpeggiated chord progressions, diversion, new key
16:46:53 From joyce douglas to Everyone:
getting to the simplicity of the pattern and braking the shpaes and patterns helps me understand

17:07:00 From Hella Bluhm-Stieber to Everyone:
Great to move the patterns to different keys. I also added the pattern in C.
17:07:01 From joyce douglas to Everyone:
the aha for leaving the right hand to get to the left hand foe next chord
17:07:04 From sue wood to Everyone:
the long lines between notes were turn rounds
17:07:57 From Angela Evans to Everyone:
I’m just watching your video online of you playing them all ! Amazeballs !!! Sounds like a huge classical piece
17:08:38 From Helen Wright to Everyone:
To work the turnarounds I worked on just the left hand, at root , and went back and forth (up and down) repeatedly.
17:19:01 From Bonnie Berk to Everyone:
In the ascending arpeggios at the inversion at the end, are we still playing C7?
17:21:46 From Cherrie Mooney to Everyone:
Aha: Ascending inversions-up 4x, down 1, up 4. Descending inversions-down 5x and then one note.
