Easy Groove
16:49:42 From Jessica Pittaway to Everyone:
my melody hand always sounds soooo Celtic! I wanna feel the blues in my right:)
16:49:58 From Sally to Everyone:
I tend to stay on the pentatonic scale in the riff.
16:50:49 From Miriam to Everyone:
I am kind of playing in the key of D minor but it also sounds a bit major
16:56:15 From Joke Verdoold to Everyone:
Automatically former experiences crawl in. Which seems nice, but gives less development I’m afraid
17:08:51 From Joke Verdoold to Everyone:
Hah, I want to sing out loud! Have to restrain, people are sleeping overhere.
17:09:02 From Laurie to Everyone:
The repetition is fun too! After a while can add slap bass, or neighbor notes moving between chords. Awsome!
17:09:09 From Miriam to Everyone:
I guess I got to make the genre Celtic/Blues…I mean it is fun!
17:09:36 From Tovelah to Everyone:
Playing the Blues is learning the Blues, great way to see and learn as we sing along.
17:10:00 From Lynne Lapidus to Everyone:
Yes, Fun how easily the slap bass returned and filled right in
17:10:51 From Laurie to Everyone:
It’s just a natural invitation to improvise – like a merry-go-round, it goes round and round; you can jump on and jump off
17:10:59 From Cherie Maffey to Everyone:
The singing gives a clear idea of the 12 bars.
17:12:00 From Eileen Ryton to Everyone:
delightful playing what you feel vs technique and correct notes – chords come automatic
17:19:18 From Cherrie Mooney to Everyone:
Call and response it a great learning tool.

17:29:06 From Jessica Pittaway to Everyone:
Sticking with pentatonic in the right hand makes it instantly less Celtic and more Bluesy…of course! just gotta swing it more for the feel
17:30:26 From Sally to Everyone:
The simplicity and purity of it
17:30:48 From Laurie to Everyone:
I love the groove, and how you can really “feel” it so deeply
17:30:59 From Cherie Maffey to Everyone:
Getting the blues groove, and it’s a pattern that others can follow. Feeling the swing rhythm.
17:31:28 From Miriam to Everyone:
I like how blues songs are more lyrical rather than narrative
17:32:45 From Hýldi to Everyone:

17:32:55 From Cami’s iPad to Everyone:
Grouping patterns of melodies
17:33:39 From Cherie Maffey to Everyone:

17:33:45 From Tovelah to Everyone:
Reacted to “Play-Play-Play-Play-the-Blues-inD-2024(2).pdf” with 👍
17:33:52 From Laurie to Everyone:
It will strengthen rhythm, syncopation, pattern use and – for me – it really facilitates improv and “play”. Can get very emotional with the bendy notes
17:34:09 From Tovelah to Everyone:
Reacted to “For me it has been g…” with 👍
