TCAN WEBSITE DESCRIPTION:
2007 Grammy nominee ("Best Classical Crossover Album") and Arlington native Deborah Henson-Conant has been described as “the wild woman of the harp” by bandleader Doc Severinsen - her playing ranges from raucous to delicate and her performances blur the line between musical performance and theatrical event. Playing a customized electric harp with each string individually amplified, Deborah’s “Body Harp” is her signature instrument. Impossible to categorize, she synthesizes jazz, folk and flamenco with a theatrical narrative of storytelling and humor.
